Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What are your fees?

I offer an initial 15 minute conversation by phone free of charge. Individual sessions are charged at £60. I offer a limited number of concessionary spaces for daytime appointments. Fees for group work are set dependent on the scope of the project.

How often are sessions?

Therapy tends to work best when there is consistency and regularity. I offer weekly sessions typically at the same time each week. Occasionally, I offer sessions on a less frequent basis.

What happens if I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel a session, 48 hours' notice is requested. Sessions cancelled with less notice will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

What about confidentiality?

Confidentiality is of fundamental importance to therapy. What we speak about remains strictly between us. There are two exceptions to this rule. The first is where there is any concern that you might be a risk to yourself. The second is where there is concern of risk to another person, particularly vulnerable adults and children.

What are your qualifications to practise?

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am listed on their Professional Standards Authority Accredited Register. I completed my primary clinical training at Keele University in England in 2015 where I was awarded an MSc in Counselling Psychology (with distinction). I have undertaken additional further therapeutic training in Group Analysis and was awarded the Institute of Group Analysis Diploma in Group Work Practice in 2025. I was awarded Group Work Practitioner status by the Institute of Group Analysis in 2026.

Can I see you in person?

I've recently relocated, so I'm currently only offering sessions online while I work on setting up my therapy room.  I'm exploring offering 'walk and talk' sessions in and around Murlough and Tyrella beaches in the south of County Down. So, if that's something you might be interested in, please get in touch.
